The fourth industrial revolution is upon us and technological innovations are impacting all economic sectors in various ways.  So large are the changes associated with “Industry 4.0” that the World Economic Forum says “We stand on the brink of a technological revolution that will fundamentally alter the way we live, work, and relate to one another. In its scale, scope, and complexity, the transformation will be unlike anything humankind has experienced before.”

Industry 4.0 refers to technologies like: cloud & mobile computing, big data processing, process automation, autonomous robots and vehicles, sensors and the wirelessly connected ‘internet of things’, artificial intelligence and machine learning, amongst others.
 
These technologies will impact how people work with each other, how humans interact with computers & machines, how our workplaces become more embedded with technologies and “smart” systems, and even how devices, buildings, and urban infrastructure are connected in new ways.
 
The purpose of the survey is to better understand how these changes are impacting you and your organization. In particular, how real estate – the facilities and the business of doing real estate – will be impacted by Industry 4.0.
