After an exhaustive search, the announcement was made last week that, $500 billion global assets management firm, AllianceBernstein is planning to move its headquarters to Nashville, Tennessee.

Newmark Managing Director Kim Moore, part of the Newmark Economic Incentives Advisory team, has spent the last year working side-by-side with AllianceBernstein negotiating the incentives and tax savings that were key to the decision.

The company asked Moore if they should add another location after eliminating this most recent city. Moore then suggested the company consider Williamson County and Nashville...”

The Brentwood Homepage online article goes on to explain, “AllianceBernstein’s decision to leave New York for Nashville is being portrayed in the financial media as part of a trend among financial companies. Bloomberg News noted the state and city personal income taxes in New York and the overall cost of living, noting that large financial companies had relocated or established divisions in Salt Lake City, Jacksonville, Florida and Austin, Texas”.
