NKF Client Hartmann US Awarded Missouri Governor’s Rural Business Project of the Year

Hartmann US, a leading manufacturer of fiber-molded egg packaging, has been awarded the Missouri Governor’s Rural Business Project of the Year. Danish parent company, Brodrene Hartmann A/S announced in January that it would establish its first manufacturing plant in the United States.

Hartmann partnered with Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) to lead a comprehensive multi-state location strategy and conduct a site selection search for land and buildings, which led to a final recommendation to locate in the Hy Point Industrial Park in Rolla, Missouri. NKF helped Hartmann secure the purchase of a 334,000 square foot facility and negotiated a strategic economic incentives package.

As part of the initial $30 million investment, Hartmann US broke ground in June on a 20,000 square foot expansion to the facility; anticipating future growth and the potential to double their investment in the next six years.

Hartmann’s alignment with the state’s advanced manufacturing strategy quickly caught the attention of Missouri Governor Jay Nixon; who attended the groundbreaking in June. Following the ceremony, the Governor published an official press release reiterating his support of Hartmann stating, “By choosing to locate their first US facility in Missouri, Hartmann joins a resurgent manufacturing industry that has helped increase employment in the Show-Me State to a record high… Missouri’s highly-skilled workers, central location, and pro-business climate provide a strong foundation for Hartmann to build on its success.”

Hartmann US was among other award recipients recognized for their outstanding achievements at the 2016 Missouri Governor’s Conference on Economic Development.
